![]() ![]() ![]() Now, mind you, I like pretty much all restaurant breakfasts, rarely are they poor but also they are only going to be variations on a theme think of Parker's less as a place for a meal and more as a destination/attraction. We waddled out in a warm state of sugary bliss and wandered around the grounds a bit before heading back out towards 130. After which you will be compelled to buy some (at no more than any other syrup's price) in the gift shop. The menu is varied enough that you may be tempted not to have pancakes - don't do that. We added some grapefruit juice which was wonderful. I enjoyed some Irish eggs and the strawberry pancake special while my spouse had the spinach omelet. Despite it being a Saturday morning we were promptly seated and served with above-average coffee, giving us time to take in the incredible aroma of maple syrup and the visual combination of rustic, antique, and kitsch that makes up the decor. There's a donut shop and a gift shop or two to entertain before or after a meal. The Maple Sugar Barn is the centerpiece of a small compound of charming weathered wood buildings tucked into a forest of, well, mainly maples. ![]() While roughly an hour away (and you should allow more for roadside attractions and distractions), not only is the drive lovely, finding this gem in the woods was well worth the hike. We had some time the morning before an afternoon wedding in the Nashua area and decided to do some exploring. ![]()
